Princeton sweeps Rosewood Tuesday
Rosewood may have stolen Princeton’s Easter Tournament Bunny, but the Bulldogs won the one that counted Tuesday. The Princeton boys shut out the Eagles in the game that counts in the conference standings, 5-0, behind the pitching of Chris Hinton.
Hinton scattered six Rosewood hits while recording six strikeouts.
Colin Parker and Ryan Daughtry led the Bulldog hitters with two hits apiece.
The win improved the Dawgs to 5-0 in Carolina 1-A conference play, and 13-5 overall, while Rosewood slipped to 3-2, 11-4 in all games.
The Lady Bulldogs maintained their league lead with a win over the Lady Eagles, 11-1, in a six inning shortened affair. Like the Bulldog boys, the Princeton girls hold a 5-0 mark in league play, Rosewood girls slipped to 3-2.
