Margaret S. Braswell

Margaret Lee Starling Braswell, 80, died Wednesday morning, April 25, in Smithfield Manor.

Born January 9, 1927 in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Milford and Alma Hinnant Starling and was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland O. Braswell, who died February 7, 2002, and three brothers, A. B. Starling, Bobby Starling and Durwood Starling. She was a member of the Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from the Eaton Corporation in Selma..

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Marcus Riggs and the Rev. Dwight Dunning officiating. Burial will follow in the Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are her daughters, Diane Allen and Carol Butts both of Princeton, brothers, Avery Starling of West Jefferson and Worth Starling of Wilson, sisters, Agnes Bizzell of Four Oaks and Marie Spivey of Princeton, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to the Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, 4700 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569.

Peggy E. Wainwright

Peggy Ellis Wainwright, 70, of Pine Level, died Saturday evening, April 21, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 15, 1936, daughter of the late Hazel Ellis Garner and stepfather Talmadge Garner. She was reared by her grandparents, Jonathon Luther and Nellie Ellis. She was retired from Belk’s with 21 years of service.

The graveside service was held Tuesday morning, April 24, at the Price cemetery with Reverend Wayne Ellis and Wally Mathis officiating.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Wainwright; a son, Talmadge Scott Wainwright of Raleigh; two daughters, Gloria Broadwell of Selma and Pam McDaris of Pine Level; and a grandson, Matthew Dale McDaris of Pine Level.

Sherrie S. Ballree

Sherrie Strickland Ballree, 44, died Sunday, April 22 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 15, 1962 in Wayne County to Lois Evans Strickland of Goldsboro and the late William Glenn Strickland. She worked at the George Street Grill.

Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brothers, William E. Strickland and Donnie E. Strickland; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will greet friends Friday following the graveside service.

Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
