Pounds Landscaping makes Princeton investment
The speculation that a landscape business will be opening on US 70 at 70-A is just that according to the owner.
Brian Pounds of Pounds Landscaping, Inc., of Clayton told the News Leader Friday afternoon that while he has done some work on the lot, which sits on the northeast corner of the intersection, he has no intention of moving his business to Princeton nor opening a second location.
Since buying the property, he has started cleaning up the lot; he had to remove a number of tires, a mobile home that had been abandoned on the property, and some trees. He has planted rye on the land, which will be used for wheat straw, and he may rent the land out to some area farmers in the future.
Mr. Pounds said he saw the property as an investment, and is pleased at how it is turning out. |
