RHS boys claim reg. season track crown

The Rosewood boys track team closed out the regular season with their fifth win without a loss Thursday at Princeton. The win gave them the regular season title.

On the girls side, the Lady Bulldogs edged the Lady Eagles, 72-66.
In the boys’ competition, Princeton’s Bogle won the 1100, Holmes won the pole vault, Bogle won the triple jump, Wilson won the 400, and Copes won the 200.

Rosewood took the win with victories in the high jump (Toran), shot put (Lasssiter), discus (Lassiter), 110 high hurdles (Holmes), long jump (Toran) 1600 (Willis), 800 (Abel), 3200 (Conerly), 300 hurdles (Holmes), and each of the four relays.

Rosewood girls winners were: Murray (pole vault), Summerville (long jump), Andrew (1600), Neal (400), and Andrews (3200), plus the 4x200, 4x400, and 4x800 relay teams.

Princeton winners included Gibbs (shot put), Sanders (high jump), Williams (discus), Sanders (100 hurdles), bogle (100) Manueal (300 hurdles), Yancy (800), Bogle (200), and the 4x100 relays.

Last Tuesday the Rosewood teams beat Spring Creek in a meet at Rosewood. The Eagles swept all of the boys’ events, and all but four of the girls’ events.
