police report

3 May 2007 - The Princeton Police Department reported the following incidents:

• Ronnie Christopher Atkinson, 34, of Arrowhead Drive was arrested on Saturday for possession of marijuana up to 1/2 an ounce, driving while impaired, and driving without a license. An officer noticed a strong smell of alcohol on Mr. Atkinson as he purchased a beer in the Fuel Mart. The officer waited across the street and saw him drive away. Mr. Atkinson was pulled for driving left of center, and was arrested for DWI and driving without a license. He was taken to the Johnston County Jail and placed under a $600 bond. When he was transferred to the jail, officers found a bag of marijuana in his shoe. Mr. Atkinson was then charged with possession of marijuana and an additional $500 bond was placed.

• Michael Eugene Reid, 19, and Steven Eric Davis, 20, both of Pikeville, were arrested at the Piggly Wiggly parking lot on April 22 for drug possession. Narcotics officers found crack-cocaine in Mr. Reid’s pocket, and Mr. Davis’ car contained a bag of marijuana. Both were arrested and taken to the Johnston County Jail. Mr. Reid was placed under a $12,500 bond, while Mr. Reid was placed under a $500 bond.
