RHS girls split week
3 May 2007 - The Lady Eagles split a couple of conference matches and posted a narrow 2-1 non-conference win in an up and down week.
Last Tuesday the Rosewood girls suffered a 10-6 loss to North Johnston. The Rosewood girls rallied after falling behind early.
Courtney Hill, Aubrey Reinhard and Haile Meadows led Rosewood with two hits apiece. One of Hill’s was a homer.
Friday the Rosewood girls had an easy win, shutting out SpringCreek, 15-0.
Jennifer Hall had three hits to lead the Rosewood attack. Adding two hits were Courtney Hill and Missy Bailey. Caitlin Armor, Megan Church and Christina Bruton each added hits.
Monday the Rosewood girls stepped out of league play for a non-conference match with Wayne Christian. In the unexpectedly tough afternoon, the visitors limited the Lady Eagles to only two hits, as Princeton held on with two runs in the fifth for a 2-1 win.
Tuesday the Lady Eagles were to travel to North Duplin and Friday they host Princeton in two conference matches.
The Lady Eagles were 4-4 and 9-11 in all games going into Tuesday’s game. |
