FRANCES A. MARLOW

Frances Anderson Marlow, 65, of Goldsboro, died Tuesday evening, May 22, at her residence.

Born in Johnston County on June 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dollie M. Mitchell and the late George Anderson. She attended Princeton School and New Hope School.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Mr. McGee Smith officiating. Burial followed at the Vinson Cemetery off Hood Swamp Road.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Tom Marlow; a sister, Peggy Parks Chase; three nieces and family, Yolanda Williams and husband, Randy, Teresa Short and husband, Gene, Juanita Sauls; four great-nieces, Stephanie Lovic, Melissa Williams, Rebekah Short, Monica Sauls; one great-nephew, Josh Williams; one great-great-nephew, Jackson Lovic; and six stepchildren, Thomas, Chris, Andrew, James, Bonnie and Becky.

MILDRED W. LONG

Mildred Woodall "Millie" Long, 78, died Wednesday, May 30 in Britthaven of Smithfield.

Born September 8, 1928 in Princeton, she was a daughter of the late William Garland and Minnie Thompson Woodall, and the widow of Joseph J. Long, Jr. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elton Woodall and George Woodall, and a sister, Beulah Gudac. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for more than 25 years, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mary Banner officiating. She will be entombed at a later time in the mausoleum at Mountlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.

Survivng are her stepson, Joseph J. "Joe" Long, III of Pawleys Island, SC; sisters, Iola Woodall Narron of Raleigh, Clara Woodall Scouten of Holt's Lake South, Four Oaks, Faye Woodall Wilson of Wilmington, and Marie Woodall Bailey of Princeton, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern NC Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 220, RAleigh, NC 27605 or the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1159, Smithfield, NC 27577.

There will be no scheduled visitation, but friends are welcome to come by the funeral home to view and sign the register Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
