CECIL T. AUTRY
Cecil Tate Autry, 73, of Devil’s Racetrack Road in Four Oaks died June 15 at his residence.
Born Dec. 6, 1933, in Sampson County, he was a son of the late Mack and Delia Autry.
The funeral was at 7 p.m. June 17 at Minshew Funeral Home. The Rev. Jesse Frank Beasley officiated. Graveside service was at 10 a.m. Monday in the Autry family cemetery in Roseboro.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Ann Autry; six sons, Johnny Autry of Four Oaks, Roy Autry of Princeton, Danny Autry of Dunn, John Autry of Smithfield, Troy Autry of Snow Hill, and Jimmy Faircloth of Shelly; step-daughter, Ann Jennee Lee of Four Oaks; step-son, Michael Stewart of Four Oaks; sister, Harriett Smith Wallace; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
ANGELA M. EVERETTE
Angela Malinda Everette, 42, of Princeton, died June 18 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Johnston County to Charlie Matthews and Barbara Everette.
Funeral service were held Tuesday at 12 noon at Mount Zion Bible Church of God in Princeton. Burial followed in the Everette Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Hunter of Smithfield; four daughters, Nicole Everette of Raleigh, Malika Everette of Princeton, Tiwanda Surles of Goldsboro and Beverly Surles of Kenly; four brothers, Ray Jacobs of Goldsboro, Keith Everette and Sherrod Everette, both of Princeton, and Charlie Matthews of Four Oaks; two sisters, Linda Steights and Jesse Artist of Snow Hill; and four grandchildren.
PERRY SMITH
Perry Parnell Smith, 56, of Lillington, formerly of Princeton, died Sunday, June 17.
Arrangements are incomplete by McKinnie Memorial and Bailey Funeral Home, 101 S. Webb St., Selma.
LOUISE T. WEEKS
Louise Thigpen Weeks, 84, of Mount Olive, died Wednesday, June 20.
Born April 22, 1923, she was daughter of the late Willie and Ethel Smith Weeks and widow of the late Melvin Weeks.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Watkins and the Rev. Bill Hooper officiating. Burial was in Calypso Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Ray Weeks and wife, Sandra, of Grantham and Melvin B. Weeks and wife, Elleze, of Goldsboro; five daughters, Joyce Gardner and husband, Jimmy, of Calypso, Glenda Rowe of Princeton, Annette Sutton of Goldsboro, Mattie Thompson and husband, Richard, of Goldsboro, and Sue Brill and husband, Tony, of Holly Ridge; one sister, Kathleen Garris and husband, Jack, of Goldsboro; 23 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by brothers, Rodney, Demion, Marvin, and Billy Weeks, and sisters, Ruth Hudson, Naomi McCullen and Inez Harrell.
JUDITH S. WOODARD
Judith S. “Jig” Woodard, 60, a former resident of Clayton, most recently of Madison, Ala., died May 23 due to cardiopulmonary arrest.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Don Woodard; daughter, Leah Carter; son, Scott “Woody” Woodard; two brothers, Ralph L. “Butch” Berry Jr. and Linwood C. Berry; sister, Mary Ella Perucci; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 till 3 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at Bizzell Grove Church, 4700 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton.
A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. with her nephew, Pastor Randall Woodard, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the “Jig” Woodard Memorial Fund at Summit Crossing Community Church, 9-A Eastview Dr., Madison, Ala. 35758.

MELVIN E. BARFIELD
Melvin Edward “Tex” Barfield, 70, of Seven Springs, died Sunday, June 24 at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Tex was born on July 31, 1936 in Lenoir County to the late Edgar Marvin Barfield and Essie Morgan Barfield. He worked as a painter for the County of Wayne and retired from the State of North Carolina. After retirement, he was a self-employed painter. Tex was a member of Brogden Chapel P.F.W.B. Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Dorman, the Rev. Randall Barfield and the Rev. Warren Barfield officiating. Burial followed in Wayne Memorial Park.
Tex is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Darden Barfield; his children, Dusty Barfield of the home, Chalady Barfield of the home, Kathy Radcliff of Rosewood and Vickie McLamb of Garner; his grandchildren, Zoe Barfield, Lindsey Waters and Logan Waters; his brothers, Marvin Barfield, of Goldsboro, Eddie Lee Barfield of Parkton, Randall Barfield of Goldsboro, Warren “Sam” Barfield of Autryville and Timmy Barfield of Snow Hill; and his sisters, Lucille Camacho, Mary Dixon and Judy Overbee, all of Goldsboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Mae Barfield; his son, Ken Barfield; and his sisters, Effie Heath, Josie Gibbs, Glennie Wiggins and Joan Hill.
