Piggly Wiggly thief caught27 June 2007 — Princeton Police arrested a Pikeville woman at Princeton’s Piggly Wiggly in an unusual crime last week. Officers were summoned to the store June 20 at 4:02 p.m. and arrested Eva Aburto Mundoz, 28, of Little Dove Rd., Pikeville. She was charged with larceny for changing the price stickers on meat items. She allegedly purchased some of the items, paying the lowered price for them, and some packages she hid around the store, often not found until they had spoiled. Store Manager Joe Carlisle said this had been going on for several weeks, but it wasn’t until that afternoon they were able to capture her in the act on surveillance footage.
