ROBERT G. MYERS
Robert Glenn Myers, 65, of Four Oaks, died Monday, May 28.
Born Feb. 1, 1942, he was a son of the late Stephen Henry and Annie Ruth Creech Myers.
The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton. The Rev. Ralph Parker officiated. Burial followed in the Selah Church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Connie King Myers; four daughters, Cathy Allen, Sandra Stewart and Lisa Pope, all of Four Oaks, and Vicky Wallace of Kenly; a son, Vernon McAbee of Kenly; two brothers, James Myers of Pine Level and Preston Myers of Clayton; two sisters, Bonnie Davis of Dudley and Shirley Myers of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
LINWOOD POPE
Linwood Pope, 71, of Pine Level, died Tuesday, May 29 at his home.
Born March 9, 1936, in Johnston County, Mr. Pope was a son of the late Clifton and Maggie Philligame Pope. He attended Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The Rev. Roger Banks and Margaret Britt officiated. Burial followed in the Crocker Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Faye Thornton Pope; a son, Charles Pope of Pine Level; a daughter, Wanda Allen of the Brogden community; three brothers, Fred Pope and Ray Pope, both of Pine Level, and Junior Pope of Selma; three sisters, Debbie Hargis of Concord, Barbara O’Conner of Jacksonville, Fla., and Brenda Pope of Princeton; and three grandchildren.

CECIL E. CRUMPLER
Cecil Elwood Crumpler, 83, of Selma died Monday, June 4, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.
Born Dec. 26, 1923, in Johnston County, Mr. Crumpler was a son of the late William Albert “Bill” and Mattie Jones Crumpler. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Wiggs family cemetery on Evans Road near Pine Level. The Rev. Leslie “Bud” Parrish will officiate.
Surviving are his son, Cecil Elwood Crumpler Jr. of Huntsville Ark.; a daughter, Noreese Barnes of Colonial Heights, Va.; five sisters, Hazel Gregson of Laurinburg, Louise Murphy of Cary, Margueritte Pilkington of Pine Level, Doris Ennis of Smithfield and Joyce Peele of Middlesex; two brothers, George Rudolph Crumpler of Selma and Edward Lee Crumpler of Pine Level; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 7 till 9 p.m. last night (Wednesday) at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma; and other times at the home of Rudolph Crumpler, 1500 River Run Road, Selma.
