Mount Olive College grads from our area

Mount Olive College graduated 378 students at its 53rd spring commencement ceremony. Of those graduates, 180 were from the Mount Olive location, 42 from the Goldsboro location on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, 49 from the New Bern location, 62 from Research Triangle Park location, 43 from the Wilmington location.
Local graduates include Hollie Lynn Cole of Pine Level with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, Dorothy M. Holland of Princeton with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, David Jesse Strickland of Princeton with an Associate’s in General Studies, and Jennifer Lyn Ward of Princeton with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting.

Brandon Woodard graduates UNC-G

Brandon Woodard, son of Terry and Tammy Woodard of Princeton, graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNC Greensboro with a B.S. Degree in Biology with a concentration of Human Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Brandon was on the Chancellor’s List 2003-2007. He is a member of the Beta Beta Beta Biology Honors Club, Beta Iota Omicron Biology Club and the Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Fraternity. He is also a UNCG Merit Scholar and recipient of the Class of 1951 Scholarship. Brandon participated in Biology Research on the Epstein-Barr virus from 2006-2007.
He has been accepted into the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine and will begin in the fall of 2007.

Barton College graduates and honors from our area

Two hundred and fifty-three Barton College seniors received diplomas on Sunday, May 20. Local graduates include Pine Level resident Amanda Raynor with a B.S. in Business Administration, and Princeton residents Tara Gurley Hester, B.S. Elementary Education (K-6) and Justin Willoughby, B.S. in Physical Education. Tara Hester was also named to the Principal’s List for the spring semester, with a perfect 4.0 average, along with Pine Level resident Queen E. Reid. Princeton residents Megan Worley Bullock and Edith Lynn Matthews were named to the Dean’s List, with averages of 3.3 or better.
