File now for FSA seat
25 July 2007 — Joseph C. Gregory, County Executive Director of the Johnston County FSA Office, has announced that County Committee nominations are being accepted through August 1. Local Administrative Area (LAA) 3, which includes the townships of O’Neals, Selma, Micro, Beulah, Pine Level, and Boon Hill, will be participating in the 2007 County Committee Election.
Farm Service Agency County Committees make important decisions about disaster and conservation programs, commodity price support loans and payments, and other agricultural issues.
Almost anyone participating or cooperating in an FSA program, and of legal voting age, can be a candidate. You can even nominate yourself.
Nomination forms can be picked up and dropped off at your FSA Office or USDA Service Center now through August 1. Voting will take place this fall.
Learn more by visiting your USDA Service Center or online at www.fsa.usda.gov.
