police report
A Selma woman faces felony drug possession charges after being arrested following a traffic stop last Tuesday afternoon.
Ana Maria-Garcia Mata was driving on Holt’s Pond Rd. near New Ballpark when a Princeton Police officer noted her crossing the center line. After stopping her, he asked for her license and she said she had forgotten to bring it with her.
A check indicated her license had been revoked.
He began a routine search of the suspect, asking if she had any weapons or illegal drugs on her. She said she didn’t. When he began to remove a white ball cap she was wearing, she immediately said the cap was not hers. An envelope fell out of the cap containing .04 grams of crack cocaine.
She was arrested for possession, and bond was set at $20,500 secured.
