29 August 2007 — New Rosewood Elementary Pre-K student Cayleb Brawley gets a special escort his first day.
Barbecue supper
Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church will hold a barbecue chicken supper on Saturday, September 8 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Plates will cost $6 and will be available for eating in or taking out. The dinner is sponsored by the women’s, men’s, and senior adult ministries.
Cocaine arrest

The fourth suspect in a recent drug sweep was arrested last Thursday.
Fredrick Toler, 22, of Pine St., Princeton, was charged with two counts of cocaine possession with intent to sell and deliver and two counts of selling cocaine.
Bond was set at $120,000.
Labor Day landfill closing
The Johnston County Landfill and Convenience Sites will be closed Monday, September 3 to observe the Labor Day holiday. Regular schedule will resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Fall revival
St. Stephens Church of Christ Fall Revival will commence on August 27 and end on August 31. Speaker for the week will be Elder Preston L. Harris, from J.T. Kerr Memorial Baptist Church in Jacksonville. St. Stephens is located at 301 W. First Street in Princeton. Choirs from throughout the county will provide the music. Services will begin nightly at 7:30. Please come out and fellowship.
