BARBARA EVERETTE

Barbara Jean Everette, 70, of Princeton, died Tuesday, August 28 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

One child survives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 7, at McIntyre Funeral Home Chapel in Goldsboro with Elder Alton Glaspie officiating. Burial will be in the Everette family cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. Thursday, September 6 at the funeral home.

 

PAULETTE MITCHELL

Paulette Watson Mitchell, of Princeton, died Friday, August 31 at her home.

Born August 13, 1958 in Wayne County, Mrs. Mitchell was a daughter of the late Paul and Ida Barbour Watson. She was a member of Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, September 2, at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The Rev. Marcus Riggs officiated. Burial followed in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Mitchell; a son, Chris Mitchell of Princeton; two daughters, Michelle Mitchell and Amy Price of Princeton; a sister, Lisa Williams of Tennessee; and a grandchildren.

The family suggests contributions to Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4700 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569.

 

DORIS F. PARKER

Doris Faye Parker, 62, of Dunn, died Sunday, August 26 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Parker was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Gladys B. Rhodes. She was retired from Ramada Inn after 17 years of service.

The funeral was held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29 at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn. The Rev. Johnny Hamilton officiated. Burial was Thursday morning, August 30, in the cemetery at Stoney Run Church.

Surviving are her husband, Fred Parker; two daughters, Angela Edwards and Beverly Stewart, both of Dunn; a brother, Howard Rhodes of Willow Spring; a sister, Belinda Worley of Princeton; and four grandchildren.

 

BARBARA W. PARRISH

Barbara Weir Parrish, 73, of Wilson's Mills, died Thursday, August 30 in Virginia.

Born September 9, 1933, in Columbus County, Mrs. Parrish was a daughter of the late Alexander W. and Helen E. Geyer Weir. Her first husband was Carl K. Parrish, who died in 1987. A retired teacher, Mrs. Parrish taught in the Johnston County schools for more than 30 years. She was a member of Wilson's Mills Christian Disciples Church, where she played the organ.

Surviving are her husband, Luther C. Davies; a son, Carl K. Parrish Jr. of Silver Springs, MD; two daughters, Helen Braswell of Wilson's Mills and Kay Parrish of Pine Level; a sister, Sannie, of Missouri; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

ELLAPHAIR W. STALLINGS

Ellaphair Wall Stallings, 92, of Pine Level, died Sunday morning, September 2, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. 

Born February 18, 1915 in Johnston County to the late William Tilton and Emma Batten Wall, she was the widow of James Relmond Stallings who died November 1, 1975.  She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist in Micro, the Selma Women’s Club and she helped to organized the Pine Level Home Demonstration Club.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the First Missionary Baptist Church in Micro with the Rev. Tim Stevens officiating.  Burial will follow in the Selma Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are her sons, Bobby H. Stallings and wife, Miriam of Marietta, GA, Charles Stallings and wife, Carol of Hoxie, KS and John T. Stallings and wife, Rose of Pine Level, daughters, Lynda Gulley and husband Richard of Garner and Beth Johnson and husband Bob of Pine Level, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to the First Missionary Baptist Church, 106 W Wilson Street, Micro, NC 27555.

The family will receive friends from 1–2 p.m. just prior to the service at the church.
