Ricky Ross, 44, was allegedly driving a vehicle without a license tag. When stopped he allegedly told officers he had no license, and a check indicated his license had been revoked. His blood alcohol level at the scene was indicated at .18. When he was taken to Smithfield, a re-test indicated a level of .13. Bond was set at $2000.
Karen McLean, 33, of Smithfield, was charged with 80 in a 55 on US 70 at 3:20 a.m. Sunday. She initially was tested for DUI, according to the officer, but her BAC level had dropped below the limit by the time she was taken to jail. Bond was set at $1500.
Andreous Scott, 26, of Selma, was allegedly driving a van with a 30-day tag with no license light Thursday at 9 p.m. When the registration was checked, the van had been reported stolen. His license had been revoked. He was held in lieu of $500 bond. The owner said the van was no longer stolen, and the van was released to the owner and Mr. Scott the next day.

There were no serious injuries in a potentially dangerous accident on US 70 at Edwards Rd. Friday afternoon.

It was raining at the time, his truck was pulling a trailer, and the road was said to be slick.
Anita Salkill, 49, an employee at Princeton Day Care, was trying to leave the Princeton School parking lot when she allegedly drove the day care van over the handicapped ramp of a Princeton School bus Friday.
