Lady Eagles split matches19 September 2007 — The Rosewood girls tennis team split two matches last week. Last Monday they took a 6-3 decision over Wallace-Rose Hill. Missy Bailey, Erica Nichols, Jillian Casey and Ashli Allen took wins in singles at 1, 2, 3 and 6 respectively. Bailey and Nichols and Caroline Carswell and Brooke Toler won their doubles matches to cinch the win. Last Tuesday, the Lady Eagles suffered a tough 5-4 loss to North Duplin. Bailey, Nichols and Allen won their singles matches at 1, 2 and 6, and Bailey and Nichols won their doubles match, but the Lady Rebels dominated the other matches. Rosewood’s conference mark evened at 2-2 after last Tuesday’s loss.
