26 September 2007 — Wayne County Services on Aging and SHIIP are sponsoring a free seminar open to anyone with Medicare questions, entitled Medicare for Rookies, on Friday from 9 a.m.-noon at the Wayne County Agricultural Center, corner of Chestnut and George Streets, Goldsboro. Topics include Preventive Benefits Provided by Medicare, Extra Help for Medicare Prescription Drug Program, and Medicare D Prescription Drug Program. Registration begins at 8:30.
A Recovery Ministry will be held at Cornerstone Gospel Tabernacle Ministries on Highway 70 in Princeton this Friday at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Speaker will be Apostle E.V. Newsome, Pastor of Spirit Filled Ministries of Goldsboro.
Progressive Presbyterian Church of Princeton will hold its annual homecoming service on Sunday, September 30. Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m., with the worship service beginning at 11 and a covered dish meal to follow. Percy Coleman will be the homecoming speaker.
Rena Hill will be in concert at Johnston Community Church, 450 Janie Road, Selma, on Sunday, September 30 at 6 p.m.
The Living Waters from Princeton will be singing at Faith Baptist Church of Selma on Sunday, September 30 at 6:30 p.m.
A Gospel Sing will be held at Sardis Baptist Church on Brogden Road on Sunday, September 30 at 6:30 p.m. Canaanland will be performing.
The American Red Cross will hold a Community CPR and First Aid Training course on October 6 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at their location on South Third Street in Smithfield. Prepayment and preregistration must be turned in by October 2. Space is limited to 10 people per class.
