SARA EVANS

Sara Elizabeth "Lizzie" Wilkins Evans, 96, of Princeton, died Monday morning, September 24.

Born March 5, 1911 in Johnston County to the late John Aaron and Kansas Rose Wilkins, she was the widow of Walter Clifton Evans.

Funeral services will be conducted today (Wednesday) at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Dwight Dunning officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are her daughters, Faye E. Kittrell and husband Bruce of Wilson, Carol Cuddington and husband Donald of Goldsboro, and Margie Rowe and husband Jimmie of Ahoskie; sons, Hugh Kendall Evans and wife Jackie of Oriental and Maurice Clifton Evans and wife Pat of Youngsville; five grandchildren, Sherrill Creech, Dennis Cuddington, Clifton Cuddington, Jamie Rowe, and Natalie Warner; and six great-grandchildren.

Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4700 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569.

CARL MILLARD JR.

Carl Milton Millard Jr., 74, of Rosewood, died Monday, September 24.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 27 at 4 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, Highway 581 in Rosewood. The Rev. Billy Olsen and Dr. Curtis Rains will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Mr. Millard was born in Wayne County on March 16, 1933 to the late Carl Milton Millard Sr. and Mary Kathleen Hinson Millard. He graduated from Goldsboro High School and was a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church and was the ALC coordinator at Princeton School. He previously worked with Music & Sports and was past owner and operator of Team Sports.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Amelia "Mimi" Millard; three sons, Carl Michael Millard and his wife, Connie, Phillip Randall Millard and his wife, Heather, and Charles Banks Millard and his wife, Lisa, all of Goldsboro; three brothers, Lloyd Millard and his wife, Pat, William Millard and his wife, Virginia, and Dan Millard and his wife, Sharon, all of Goldsboro; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Gurley and her husband, R.L., of Goldsboro; and six grandchildren, Nicole, Meghan, Katie, Abby, Steven and Phillip Millard.

He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Hinson Millard and a daughter, Catherine Gayle Millard.

The family will receive friends following the service on Thursday and other times at the residence.

EUTHA P. YOUNG

Eutha Gray Price Young, 79, of Goldsboro, died Saturday, September 22 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Born in Bladen County on May 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Thadious F. and Mable Dove Price, wife of the late Albert Jay Young Sr. and mother of the late Alice Faye Benton. She was a charter member of the Pineview Baptist Church and retired from General Electric after more than 30 years of service.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. Graveside services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert Jay and Mary Jo Young Jr. of Goldsboro, John F. and Cathy Young of West Memphis, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Glynda and Thomas Tyndall of Goldsboro; a son-in-law, Linwood Benton of Princeton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a special niece and nephew-in-law, Pam and Donnie Moody of Va.

Memorial gifts may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
