Pigskin results

26 September 2007 — West Virginia was tough on ECU Saturday, and was tough on our Pigskin Pickers.

While most of our pickers saw the ranked Mountaineers winning the game over the Pirates, no one predicted their 48 point total or 41 point margin of victory.

Six of our pickers got all six games right, throwing last week’s contest to the tie-breaker.

Bill Carr of Rosewood and Russell Reynolds of Falling Creek both ended up just 16 points away from the final score of 48-7, with predictions of 38-13 and 35-10 respectively. A final drawing was held to determine the winner: Mr. Carr.

Others with perfect pickin’s were: Valerie Howell, Chris Keen, Mike Peedin and Dean Worley.

Runner-up honors go to: John Crafter, Carl Gurley III, Jeremy Jones, Marcia McCullen, Carig Partin, Melissa Rinehart, Michael Strickland and Michael Woodard.

Honorable mentions go to: Eric Clayton, Lane Van Gorden, Luby Hines and Denny Tart.

Mr. Carr won two tickets to the ECU game hosting Central Florida on Oct. 6. There are two more sets of tickets to that game up for grabs this week.
