Lady Eagles take home loss

26 September 2007 — The Rosewood volleyball team played tough in two conference matches last week, but came up empty on the win column.

Last Monday they dropped three straight games to 2-A North Lenoir at Rosewood.

Ashley Williams led Rosewood with four kills and five digs. Jennifer Hall added eight digs and six assists. Taylor Johnson had three kills and nine digs.

Tuesday the Lady Eagles hosted Spring Creek and split the first two games, cropping the third, and pushing the Lady Gators in the fourth before falling, 25-23.

Johnson had 11 kills, 11 digs and eight blocks for the Rosewood girls. Hall had 14 digs, five assists and four aces. Paige Babb had nine assists and five digs.

Thursday the Lady Eagles were on the road at North Duplin, but it seemed much like the day before, with Rosewood splitting the first two games, dropping the third, and pushing the Lady Rebels before falling in the fourth, 29-27.

Johnson led Rosewood with 13 kills, 12 digs, four blocks and an ace. Williams had 15 kills, five digs, and three blocks. Hall had three kills, nine assists, and six digs.

With the two conference losses, the Lady Eagles fell to 0-4 in league play, and stand at 3-8 in all matches.
