JCC courses10 October 2007 — Effective Strategies for Your Job Search Are you looking for a job? Johnston Community College has classes that can help you! In partnership with the JobLink Career Centers, JCC is offering Effective Strategies for Your Job Search. This 3-hour workshop will provide tips on topics critical for job seekers including résumé writing, creating effective cover letters, interviewing skills, and handling difficult information. Come learn what you need to know to make your résumé speak to employers. You will be on your way to a new career!! This course is offered twice a month on the second Wednesday of each month (today, Nov. 14, Dec. 12) at the JobLink Career Center at Clayton Corners in Clayton and on the third Wednesday of each month (Oct. 17, Nov. 21, Dec. 19) on the JCC main campus in Smithfield. The sessions are from 1-4 pm. This course is FREE for individuals who meet the following criteria:

If you answer yes to these questions, then this class is for you. Work with an experienced ex-offender instructor to gain valuable information to improve your job seeking skills. Learn how to complete an effective resume, write an eye catching cover letter, create follow-up letters and practice what to say during an interview. Discuss how to approach the difficult information in your life. Gain the confidence you need to succeed in your job search!
