Eagles drop Panthers10 October 2007 — The suddenly resurgent Rosewood volleyball team continued to give the league leaders a struggle. Last Tuesday they dropped North Johnston into a first place tie, topping the Lady Panthers in four games, 25-21, 25-21, 21-25, and 26-24. Thursday the Lady Eagles traveled to Spring Creek, and after dropping the first two games, suddenly found their stroke in a 25-20 win. They fell in the fourth game, 25-21. Taylor Johnson recorded 13 kills and seven blocks in Tuesday’s win. Paige Babb had 19 assists and Ashley Williams had six kills and three blocks. In Thursday’s loss, Johnson had six kills, six blocks and four digs. Williams had seven kills, a block and two aces. Babb had three digs and three aces. Tuesday’s win over NJ was only Rosewood’s second, and they now sit at 2-6 in league play, 5-10 in all matches.
