Lady Bulldogs take two wins

03 October 2007 — In a three match week, Princeton sandwiched an easy non-conference win and a tough conference loss around the win at Rosewood last week.

Monday the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Goldsboro, and the Princeton girls dominated the Lady Cougars, 25-9, 25-15, 25-4.

Devon Murphy led Princeton with ten aces, two kills and a dig. Ashley Braswell added four aces, five kills and one assist. Amber Wood had three aces, two kills and 13 assists.

Thursday the Princeton girls traveled to Spring Creek, and after taking an easy win in the first game, the Lady Gators roared back with three straight wins.

Braswell led the Princeton girls with five aces, five kills and four digs. Danielle Mitchell had seven digs, Murphy had seven kills, and Wood had 17 assists.

The split left Princeton at 4-2 in conference play and 8-7 in all contest.

Tuesday the Lady Bulldogs hosted North Duplin in the first of two conference matches at home. Thursday they host the league-leading Lady Panthers of North Johnston.
