CHARLES B. BROWN
Charles Brantham Brown, 78, of Goldsboro, died Wednesday, October 17 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Johnston County on July 16, 1929 to the late John and Lulu Brown.
Six children survive.
Graveside services will be held privately at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro is in charge of arrangements.

DAYNA B. WIGGS
Dayna Brooke Wiggs, 25, of Rosewood, died Tuesday, October 16 at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run accident in Princeton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 19 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory. Pastor Rick Mondell will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange.
Brooke was born in Wayne County on November 17, 1981, to Danny and Debbie Wiggs of Rosewood. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents, Brooke is survived by her son, Ashton Hunter Winstead, of the home; one sister, Nikki Wiggs of the home; Ashton's father, Michael "Hunter" Winstead of Mount Olive; her maternal grandparents, Sheridan and Jean McCoy of Cove City; Ashton's paternal grandparents, Tony and Lynn Winstead of Mount Olive; aunts and uncles, Vernell and Ernest Quinn of Hood Swamp, Roger and Dawn Smith of Hood Swamp, Jarvis and Judy James of Rosewood and Shirley Moore of Grifton; cousins, Rex and Casey Smith, Tammy, Jeff, Allison and Kaitlyn Kincaid, and Jay, Amber and Brayden James; and her extended family of special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brooke was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Rex Smith; her paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Cleo Wiggs; and her maternal great-grandparents, Mary and Fred Wise.
The family will receive friends tonight (Thursday) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Vernell and Ernest Quinn, 1370 Hood Swamp Road and Jarvis and Judy James, 301 Muriel Hooks Drive in Rosewood.

PATRICIA D. WORLEY
Patricia Dunn Worley, 61, of Princeton, died Tuesday, October 16 at her home.
Born in Johnston County on June 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Murphy and Donnie Mae Allen Dunn. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Jack D. Worley.
Mrs. Worley was a member of Princeton Baptist Church where she once served as the church clerk. She taught school for 33 years in Cumberland and Johnston County. Mrs. Worley was an active member of the N.C. Educators Association, the National Educators Association, the Johnston County Educators Association and the American Business Women's Association. She served in several positions for the auxiliary of the Auctioneers Auxiliary of North Carolina, and was a Hall of Fame member. Mrs. Worley was appointed by the governor to serve two terms as a public member of the N.C. Auctioneer Licensing Board and was secretary-treasurer of the auctioneers' association of North Carolina. She was also active in the Eastern Star and the Democratic Women.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Dwayne Batten officiating. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton
Surviving are her daughter, Shannon Lawhon and husband, Troy, of Princeton; three sisters, Laura Faye Massengill of Raleigh, Sharon Byrd of Raleigh and Beverly Bush and husband, Bob, of Raleigh; two step-grandchildren, Erica Lawhon and Will Lawhon; and three nephews, Cole Bush, Travis Byrd and Jamie Massengill.
Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice.

SUE GREEN
Jennie Susan Green, 66, of Goldsboro, died Friday evening, October 12, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Sue was born on November 2, 1940 in Wayne County to the late Pete Cooke and Minnie Best Cooke. She was married to the late Bill Green. Sue was a retired registered nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital. She attended Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Sue had been a member of the Goldsboro Rescue Squad and the North Carolina Rescue Squad Ladies Association.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Williams. Interment was held Monday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Dana G. Sasser and husband, Richard of Kenly; her grandchildren, C.J. Radford and Brooke Radford; her sisters, Evelyn Ingram of Goldsboro and Faye Price of Goldsboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church for the Widow and Widowers Fund or the Youth Department, in care of Gerald Brown, 187 Vance Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
JOHN R. KENNON
John R. Kennon, 68, of Princeton, died Sunday, October 7 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.
Born June 5, 1939 in Johnston County, Mr. Kennon was a son of the late Swindell and Annie Joyner Kennon. He was a member of Cornerstone Gospel Tabernacle in Princeton.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 13 at St. Stephen's Church of Christ in Princeton. Bishop Steven Smith officiated. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Goldsboro.
He is survived by a brother, Harold Kennon of Princeton.
