17 October 2007 — Deacon Jones Used Cars of Princeton was hit for three vehicles last week.

Dale Jones of Northside Drive reported the larceny of a 2004 Cadillac Escalade from his home. The vehicle is valued at $30,000. The theft was reported Thursday at 9:25 a.m.

At 11:02 that same morning, an employee of the car lot called to report that two vehicles, a 2005 Ford Explorer and a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup, were both taken in an apparent fraud against the dealership. Total value of the vehicles was $34,797. A 43-year old white female is suspected in the incident at the car dealership.

In other sheriff’s reports, Christina Howell of Old Rock Quarry Road reported $250 damage to her car while someone tried to steal something from her car. Nothing was listed in the report pending an inventory. The call came in Thursday at 6:15 a.m.

Lisa Matthews of Rains Crossroads Road reported the unauthorized use of her 1997 Chevy by her daughter Thursday at 8:45 p.m.

William Lassiter Jr., 37, of Brogden fled his vehicle to try to run from deputies at 4:55 a.m. Sunday morning on Braswell Road. He was charged with driving with license revoked, fictitious plate, no insurance, rear light offense, resisting and obstructing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000 secured.
