Tuesday, October 30 – "Reducing Energy Expenses at Your Home or Business" free workshops at the Wayne Center, 208 W. Chestnut Street, Goldsboro, commercial workshop 1 p.m., residential workshop 6 p.m.; Wayne County Public Library Fall Festival with cake walk, games, face panting, giveaways, bring your own pumpkin carving contest, and Samantha Casey and the Bluegrass Jam, 4-6 p.m.; Rains Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church, Princeton-Kenly Road, fall festival with hot dogs, drinks, candy, games, family pumpkin carving contest (carve at home), costume contest (church-friendly), and cake walk, 6-9 p.m.

Wednesday, October 31 – Cocaine Anonymous meeting at Carolina Treatment Center, Goldsboro, 8 a.m.; Princeton United Methodist Church youth pancake supper fundraiser (plates $5 each, youth may wear church-appropriate costumes), 6-8 p.m.
