Youth-friendly fall festivals

24 October 2007 — The Wayne County Public Library will host a Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 30 from 4-6 p.m., featuring Daniel and Samantha Casey, a.k.a. Samantha Casey and the Bluegrass Jam. There will also be a cake walk, games, face painting, and giveaways. This is a BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) affair: bring a pumpkin to decorate and it will be displayed in the library. For more information, please call the Children's Department at 735-1824 ext. 5105, or log on to www.wcpl.org.

Rains Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church, on Princeton-Kenly Road, will hold their Fall Festival on Tuesday, October 30 from 6-9 p.m. Hot dogs, drinks and candy will be available, games will be held, and a family pumpkin contest (carve your own church-friendly pumpkin design at home and enter the contest), costume contest (wear your coolest church-friendly costume), and cake walk will be held. All games and food will be provided by the youth committee, and donations are appreciated, to help fund youth service projects.
