Career Readiness 101

24 October 2007 — Have you been out of school for a while? Need to brush up on your reading and math skills? This class is for you. Career Readiness 101 will allow you to work at your own pace on the academic areas that you need most. KeyTrain computer software will be your tool to practice, practice, practice your reading and math before you apply for that next job or take that next assessment, entrance or aptitude test. A knowledgeable instructor will guide you. Come review and learn with us!

This class is offered on Monday afternoons from 1-5 pm, October 29 – November 26 in Room 1031 at the Johnston County Workforce Development Center, 135 Bestwood Drive, Clayton, NC 27520.

This course is FREE for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • unemployed;
  • received notice of pending layoff;
  • working and eligible for Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (FEIT); or
  • working and earn wages at or below two hundred percent (200%) of the federal poverty guidelines.

If you are not eligible for the tuition waiver described above, the registration fee is $55.00.  There is no book fee.  For more information, or to register, call 919-209-2592. Pre-registration is required.
