ALAN G. 'SPARKPLUG' WILLIAMS
Alan "Sparkplug" Gerrard Williams, 49, of Princeton, died Wednesday, October 24 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wayne County on April 15, 1958, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn, and was the son of Lucille S. Williams and the late Oscar A. Williams Jr.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, October 26 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Tom Norris O.F.F.S. presiding. Burial will follow at Willowdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, October 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
In addition to his mother and wife, Mr. Williams is survived by two daughters, Melanie McClain and Alison Williams; seven brothers, Steve and Tony Williams, both of Goldsboro, David Williams of Mount Airy, Andy Williams of Fremont, Greg Williams of Cary, Mark Williams of Keller, Texas, and Danny Williams of Wilmington; three sisters, Cecilia Hollander of Florence, Mont., Rose Mary Little of Gastonia, Barbara Elam of Raleigh; and three grandchildren, Lily, Isaiah, and Jalen McClain.
A brother, Peter. preceded him in death.

WOODROW P. ELMORE
Woodrow Preston Elmore, 90, of Goldsboro, died Sunday, October 21 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late J. Frank and Julia Kennedy Elmore and the widower of Esther Pelt Elmore. Mr. Elmore served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 23 at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rex Evans officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Wayne Memorial Park.
Surviving are his daughters, Frances Minshew of Goldsboro, Julia Anders and husband, Donnell Anders, of Dudley, and Joyce Snipes and husband, Charles N. Snipes, of Goldsboro. He is also survived by sisters, Hattie Lou Futrell of Goldsboro and Mollie Tart of Rosewood; brother, Patrick Elmore of Chatsworth, Ga.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to Faith Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 1200 W. Grantham St., Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
The family received friends at the funeral home following the service and other times at the residence of Charles and Joyce Snipes, 204 Lake Ridge Drive, Goldsboro.
ROBERT MCCRAY
Robert McCray, 60, of Kenly, died Monday, October 15 at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
Born November 29, 1946, in Johnston County, Mr. McCray was a son of the late Willie A. McCray and Perlenia Burnette. He attended Richard B. Harrison High School in Selma and later lived in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Florida before returning to North Carolina. Mr. McCray was a member of Mincey Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly, where he was also the pianist.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 21 at Mincey Chapel Church in Kenly. Pastor David W. Hill officiated. Burial followed in the cemetery at Souther Grove Church.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley McCray; a son, Andre A. McCray; four brothers, Andrew McCray of Wilson, Willie A. McCray Jr. of Princeton, David McCray of Mt. Rainier, Md., and Roland McCray of Bowie, Md.; and six grandchildren.
PATSY F. WARREN
Patsy Fulford Warren, 52, of Ballpark Road near Selma, died on Monday, October 22.
Born in Wake County on March 22, 1955, she was the daughter of Norman Junior Fulford of Middlesex and the late Betty Hinnant Fulford.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 3 p.m. in the Samaria Cemetery near Middlesex.
Surviving in addition to her father are a daughter, Brittany Warren of Princeton; a brother, Tommy Fulford of Zebulon; and a sister, Jo Ann Johnson of Selma.
The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma tonight (Wednesday) from 7 to 9 p.m.
