Rosewood faces Princeton on home turf Friday night
31 October 2007 — “When they hired me, they told me my No. 1 job was to beat Princeton,” first-year Rosewood Coach Bobby Britt said Sunday night. He expects it to be a good game Friday at Rosewood.
“They’ve won a couple of games, and they’ve played tough in the games they’ve lost.”
“Their kids want to play Rosewood just as much as our kids want to play Princeton.”
Rosewood has a little more immediate on the line than does Princeton, not that either needs incentive in this one. Rosewood would become playoff eligible with a win, but Princeton has a 21 game losing streak to their backyard rival to erase.
“We’ve come back and played well after disappointing losses all season,” said Coach Britt. “After a disappointing season opening loss to Goldsboro, we came back the next week to beat Southside. After a big loss to Ayden-Grifton, we played North Johnston a heck of a game the next week.”
