Happy Halloween!

31 October 2007 — The staff at Horizon Family Medicine of Princeton dressed up as Wizard of Oz characters for Halloween.

sheriff's report

A van donated to a church turned out to be a “hot” commodity.

Jonathan Freedman of Grabtown Road had donated a 1990 Chevy Lumina van to Baker’s Chapel Church and had taken it to a shop in September. On Friday he reported the van had apparently been stolen from that shop.

Johnston County Sheriff’s deputies located the van at another shop. According to dept. officers, the van had apparently been stolen from that shop, and was seized after a William Lassiter Jr. had jumped from the van during a traffic stop earlier this month and fled. Officers at the scene seized the van and it was taken to another body shop.

Patrick Ryan, 26, of Lazy J Dr., Smithfield, was arrested at 1:25 p.m. Friday and charged with seven counts of possession and distribution of precursor chemicals, and exceeding pseudo limits. Bond was set at $200,000.

Pedro Mejia of Brogden Rd. reported identity theft to Johnston County Sheriff’s officers Thursday.
