31 October 2007 — Ayden-Grifton scored three touchdowns in the first three minutes of the second quarter Monday night as the Chargers dominated the Dawgs, 48-3, at Princeton.

After yielding an opening drive touchdown and a second tally in the first quarter, the Princeton defense was starting to solve the A-G offense, and the Princeton offense started gaining some confidence. As the first quarter came to a close, momentum was beginning to shift Princeton’s way.
Then the Chargers broke the first of two long touchdown runs up the middle, and scored a third on a long pass.
A determined Kevin Foy sparked the one Princeton drive of the night. After twice being seemingly stopped on a run around right end, Foy suddenly broke into the open and scorched the sidelines for a 62-yard gainer, setting up Princeton on the A-G 18.
“Kevin’s done that a couple of times this season,” Coach Russell Williamson said Tuesday morning, “kept his feet moving and broken a long run. He’s done a great job for us all year long.”

Dawg QB Dylan Myers then called Foy’s number again, and the speedy back broke a four yard run. Then Myers dialed up Will Gainey on a pass play that got Princeton down to the four.
The mighty A-G defense rose up at that point, sacking Myers for a four yard loss, and then trapping Foy behind the line for another four yard loss. Myers tried to hit Matt Williamson coming across the middle on third down, but the pass was just beyond his outstretched arms.

Chris Hinton came on for the 30-yard field goal that split the uprights to make it 42-3 with 52 seconds left in the half.
Foy had several good runs of eight to twenty yards in the second half, but A-G would then put a stop to the drive.
In the second half the Chargers coughed up the ball several times on bad exchanges. Late in the third, Matt Williamson and Chris Hill hit the Charger QB in the backfield, causing a fumble, and Princeton took over on the A-G 16. Two plays later Princeton fumbled the ball back.
Myers also had a 20-yard completion in the second half, but Princeton could not sustain either the passing or running game against A-G.
Princeton had six turnovers on the night, four fumbles and two interceptions.
“They’ve got a lot of speed and they’re big and strong up front,” said Coach Williamson. “We were trying to get (defenders) to the right spot, but they were just a better team.”
Coach Williamson said they would have no problem getting up for Rosewood this Friday.
The only Bulldog banged up was Nathan Peason, who sat out the second half with a hand injury, but Coach Williamson does not expect that to hurt him playing Friday.
