14 November 2007 — For much of the first half Thursday, North Duplin knew they were in a ball game. Princeton came to play.

In the end, the undefeated Rebels had too many horses for the young Bulldogs in a 35-0 first round playoff win.
Princeton Coach Russell Williamson came up with some new wrinkles on offense and defense that gave North Duplin some trouble on both sides of the ball. The inspired Princeton team had some chances early in the game, and a couple of drives in the second half, but could not dent the scoreboard in the rematch.
North Duplin won the match last month, 33-13.

The Rebels drove for a score with their opening possession, but the Princeton defense started gumming up things for the ND offense.
The Rebs finally got a long completion at the start of the second quarter that went for a touchdown, and that opened things up for the running game and some long runs up the middle.
Duplin also scored on the final play of the first half, another long pass, to take a 28-0 advantage to the halftime break.

North Duplin also scored to open the second half, hitting another long pass.
Princeton made their strongest drive of the night on their first possession of the second half. A North Duplin interception ended the threat.
Princeton also drove deep into Rebel territory at the start of the fourth quarter, but that drive stalled and Chris Hinton’s field goal attempt was blocked.
Kevin Foy had several nice runs for Princeton, but he ended the night with only 29 yards net after several times being caught in the backfield by the aggressive North Duplin defense.
One of the wrinkles Coach Williamson put in was putting tough Michael Radford back in the offensive backfield. He took several direct snaps and threw some passes to throw some new things at the Rebels.
The game ended the season for Princeton, who finished the season at 2-10. It was also the final game in a Princeton football uniform for Foy, Radford, Cameron White, Will Gainey, Daniel Gurley and Chris Hinton.
