02 January 2008 — Johnston County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating a number of area incidents over the past week.

George Ray Williamson, 49, of Princeton-Kenly Road, was charged with assault inflicting serious injury on December 21 at 2:06 p.m.

Linda James of Steven’s Chapel Road called deputies on Dec. 27 at 5:59 p.m. to report a disturbance between John James of the same address and Artis Price Jr., also of Steven’s Chapel Road. The disturbance involved allegations of assault inflicting serious injury.
Tammy Horton of Braswell Road, Smithfield, contacted deputies to report an assault on a female and damage to a window of her car. The call on Christmas Day at 5:08 p.m. implicated Rowdy Hill, 44, of Old Rock Quarry Road.
Charlie Holt of Old Rock Quarry Road contacted deputies on Dec. 29 at 1:15 p.m. to report that a door on his mobile home had been damaged and $500 worth of NASCAR collectibles had been stolen.
Walter Wall of Braswell Road, Smithfield, called deputies at 2:22 a.m. on Dec. 29 to report a suspicious vehicle and $275 damage to Christmas decorations and his yard.
William Johnson of Braswell Road, Princeton, notified deputies at 1:17 a.m. on Dec. 21 that the license plate was missing from his car.
