Lady Bulldogs take close loss from Union

09 January 2008 — The Princeton girls suffered, if you can call it this, “a heartening loss” Thursday night.

Lady Bulldogs Coach David Anderson said that his team played much better in their rematch with Union, despite a ten-point loss at home, 46-36.

The Princeton girls actually led at halftime, though yielding to the Lady Spartan pressure in the second half.

Brittany Baker led Princeton with 11 points, while Ashley Braswell had nine.

There were no presents for the Princeton girls at the Cardinal Gibbons Christmas Tournament, as Princeton suffered two losses.

The only good news was a pre-Christmas win at South Johnston, 25-22, in a game that was moved up a night.

Princeton now stands at 4-9.

The Lady Dawgs hosted Hobbton Tuesday in a non-conference game, and Spring Creek visits to open the conference season Friday.
