Princeton Police arrested Timothy Saunders of S. Powell St. on January 8 on charges of injury to personal property. Bond was set at $1,000.
ABWA Expo
The Johnston Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will host a Women and Business Networking Expo on Saturday, January 19, 2008, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The Expo will be at the Johnston Medical Mall, (across from Johnston Memorial Hospital), Bright Leaf Blvd, Smithfield.
Vendors to date include Stacey Henderson with Pampered Chef, Keri Christensen with Harbor. Inc., Cheryl Carbo with Butterfly Life, Raquel Wall with Re/Max Classic Realty, Ruth M. Kent with Nikken Wellness, Diane Bean with Cruises, Inc., Tonya Grice with Griceland Bakery, and Tammy Sasser with Silpada Designs.
Chapter members are still looking for sponsors and there is still space for additional vendors.
Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to exchange ideas on marketing services and products, and networking with representatives from a number of exciting businesses and organizations.

Landfill closing
The Johnston County Landfill and Solid Waste Convenience Sites will be closed on Monday, January 21st for Martin Luther King Day. We will resume our regular schedule the following day.
WCC concert
Wayne Community Concerts' second concert of the season will feature the Tamburitzans, thirty-two college students from Duquesne University who present a kaleidoscope of sight and sound, with songs sung in many languages. They represent many countries in their dances and wear over four hundred authentic costumes. Along with the accordion, clarinet, violin, and guitar, folk instruments including the bandura, tambura, gadulka, and cimbalom are played.
Goldsboro High School is the venue for the January 19 concert, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Admission is by season subscription. More information may be obtained by calling the Arts Council of Wayne County at 736-3300.
