23 January 2008 — Roofers braved the bone-chilling cold Monday to work on this Princeton home.

Anniversary at St. Stephens

Pastor Joe Clark's anniversary celebration will be held at St. Stephens Disciple Church on Sunday, January 27 at 11 a.m. Pastor Ken Dale Clark and Moses Chapel Church from Faison will render the service.

Pastor Joe Clark will also render a three-night revival at the New Jeremiah Holiness Church in Zebulon starting tonight (January 23) through Friday, at 7:30 nightly.

Spaghetti fundraiser

Brogden United Methodist Church, 2918 US Hwy. 117, Dudley, across from Wayne Memorial Park and Shumate Faulk Funeral Home, will sponsor a fundraiser featuring an evening of food and fun with Freddie Pierce comedy on Saturday, January 26, with a spaghetti dinner from 5-7 and Freddie Pierce's performance to follow. Cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 4-11, free for children under 4. The price includes the dinner and show. For more information, call 734-5244.


Inter-Faith Breakfast

The City of Goldsboro's Community Affairs Commission, in conjunction with Wayne County, will host its first annual Inter-Faith Breakfast on Friday, February 1 at 8 a.m. at the Herman Park Center, 901 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro.

Five ministers from different denominations will bring three-minute greetings.

Cost is $7 and reservations are required by January 25, by calling the Community Affairs Office at 580-4359.

Financial Aid Workshop at Princeton

A representative from the College Foundation of North Carolina will be in the Princeton cafeteria on Thursday, February 7 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., to discuss financial aid options with juniors, seniors, and their parents. Merit and need-based aid, grants, loans, and scholarship application processes will be covered, and attendees will receive an information packet. FAFSA Day will be Saturday, February 9 at WCC.
