Brewer, Perry wed December 22

23 January 2008 — Nickie Brewer and Rodney Perry were united in marriage at 2 p.m. on December 22, 2007 at Micro Free Will Baptist Church. Reverend Jean Wilkins officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Debra and Al Brewer of Princeton, and the granddaughter of Barbara and Clifton Brewer and Joyce Byrd. She is a graduate of East Carolina University and is employed as a teacher by Pitt County Schools.

The groom is the son of Pat and Raymond Perry of Micro, and the grandson of Audrey Pate and Joann Perry. He is a graduate of North Johnston High School and is employed by Ready Mix Concrete.

Escorted by her father and given away by her parents, the bride wore a strapless white gown with a beaded bodice and chapel-length train. For her headpiece, she chose a white veil with beads and a crystal pearl tiara. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

Stephanie Howe of Wilmington was her friend's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cara Wiseman of Greenville, friend, Torin Apple of Greenville, friend, Tabatha Martin of Pine Level, friend, Teresa Brewer of Rocky Mount, sister-in-law, and Courtney Brewer of Princeton, cousin of the bride.

Raymond Perry was his son's best man. Groomsmen were Todd Brewer of Rocky Mount, brother of the bride, Chris Hoskins of Garner, friend, Tracy Bizzell of Kenly, brother-in-law of the groom, Charlie Gilantiz of Kenly, brother-in-law of the groom, and Christopher Brewer of Princeton, cousin of the bride.

Flower girls were Savanah Brewer of Princeton, cousin of the bride, and Courtney Bizzell of Kenly, niece of the groom. Miniature bride and groom were Nicholas and Samantha Gilantiz of Kenly, niece and nephew of the groom.

The wedding was directed by Dawn Bizzell and Becky Gilantiz.

The reception was held at the Hinnant Family Winery and Vineyards.

After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Greenville.

A bridal luncheon was given on December 15 in Wilson by Edith Edmundson. A bridal shower was held at Falkland Elementary on December 5, given by the bride's friends and co-workers. An Our First Christmas shower was held at the bride's home, given by Teresa Brewer. A bridal shower was given on October 27 at Micro Free Will Baptist Church by the groom's parents.
