Get Completely Out of Debt
30 January 2008 — The Town of Princeton will host a Get Completely Out of Debt class on Thursday, February 7 at the Princeton Town Hall from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
The class itself is taught through Johnston Community College, and preregistration is required. The cost is $18 per student plus textbooks, but purchase of textbooks is not required. The teacher will allow students to use the textbooks, which cost $44 each, free of charge during class. The class is taught by Gregg Frank.
The personal finance class offered by Johnston Community College is made up of three classes: Get Completely Out of Debt, Take Charge of Your Money, and How to Overcome Bad Credit and Improve Your Credit Rating; they are taught by the same instructor and use the same book, and build off each other. Turnout for the first class will determine a schedule for the other classes. Each class costs $18 for preregistration, and forms are available at the town hall and the college.
If you can't afford to purchase the books, the Princeton Area Ministerial Association and Commissioner Walter Martin are purchasing two sets of books to donate to the Princeton Library for use by citizens. The Princeton Area Ministerial Association also agreed to refund half the total tuition cost if a person completes all three classes.
