30 January 2008 — On Sunday, Lettia Rochelle Boadie, 36, of Memorial Church Rd., Fremont, was charged with failing to yield right-of-way on US 70 at Pearl St. at 4:45 p.m.
Ronnie Hinson of Eddie Dr., Princeton was arrested by Princeton Police on Jan. 19 and charged with DWI, and driving while license revoked. Bond was set at $2,500.
Manuel Christopher, 21, of Progressive Church Rd., Princeton, was charged on Friday as 12:42 p.m. with going 56 in a 35 MPH zone, and no operator’s license on Holt’s Pond Rd. near New Ballpark Rd.
Antonio Hagins, 42, of Brogden Rd., Smithfield, was charged with 57 in a 35 on Holt’s Pond Road near New Ballpark Rd. on Friday at 4:44 a.m.
A truck sprang a diesel fuel leak Friday at 6:30 a.m. next to the Fire Department.
The driver, Nathan Smith, thought that the transmission on the truck had come apart, but the Princeton Police Officer called to the scene realized it was diesel fuel.
Fire department personnel tried to fix the leak, but eventually had to use a plug kit. During the 30 minutes until the leak was fixed, approximately 20-25 gallons of fuel spilled on Barden St.
The truck is owned by Ronnie Strickland Farms of Selma.
Marcus Atkinson, 47, of W. Edwards St., Princeton, was arrested and charged with simple assault Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. after an altercation at his home with Tyron Washington. Mr. Atkinson allegedly threatened with a metal pipe which he had in his possession, and then struck Mr. Washington. Mr. Washington’s lip was cut and he had two loose teeth. Bond was set at $500.
Trevis Rawlings, 28, of W. Second St., Princeton, was charged at 11:42 p.m. on Friday with two counts of assault on a female and one count of felony assault by strangulation. Bond was set at $27,000. According to the victim, Amy Bradley, and Donna Batts, Mr. Rawlings assaulted Ms. Bradley at Ms. Batts’s home on Walnut St., and fled when she threatened to call the police. He later turned himself in to officers.
