Lady Eagles take first conference win

30 January 2008 — Rosewood girls got their first conference win last Tuesday, and was on the other side Friday, as another team got their first league victory.

Hailie Meadows had 19 points to help get the offense going in a 43-29 win over Spring Creek at the Eagles’ Nest last Tuesday.

Friday the Lady Eagles again saw a seven-point fourth quarter lead evaporate as North Duplin’s defense shut them down and tuned turnovers into easy baskets in a 61-47 first conference win.

Shantal Johnson and Paige Babb had eight points apiece while Meadows again led Rosewood with nine points.

In last Tuesday’s win, Johnson and Misha Chester each added eight.

Rosewood hosted Princeton last night (Tuesday), and hosts Ayden-Grifton Friday. Next Tuesday they travel to North Johnston.
