13 February 2008 — Johnston County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a jet ski, reported stolen by William Fred Myers, Richardson Bridge Rd., on Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. in the Neuse River near Richardson Bridge Road.
On Sat., Feb. 9, Christy Gurley of Grabtown Rd., reported a breaking and entry in progress. Attempting to break in thru front door. Wilber Chiguil, 17, injury to real property at Grabtown Rd., Smithfield 2/9/08 $5000 bond.
Philip Seckar of Baker’s Chapel Rd. reported a breaking and entry (and assault) Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. Someone he knows came in his home and struck him with a fist several times. He was advised to go to a magistrate.
Melissa Morris of Evans Rd., Princeton, reported financial card fraud on Feb. 10.
James Mitchell, 80, of Evans Rd., Princeton, was found dead on arrival on Feb. 7 at 9:28 a.m. Death was determined to be of natural causes.
Triton Housing reported a home they own at Mackisons Trail Ct., Princeton, was spraypainted between Jan. 1 and Feb. 6, when it was reported. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
Brian Mercer, 24, was arrested on charges of felony larceny at the Princeton PD on Feb. 6
Gladys Anderson, Brogden Rd., Smithfield, reported larceny from a vehicle between Feb. 3 and 4. On Feb. 5 she reported a sweater worth $48, a red coat worth $45, and a glass candleholder stolen.
J.R. Stephenson reported a larceny after breaking and entering at Lakeview Estates on Feb. 5, which happened between Feb. 1 and the date of reporting. A $3500 GE refrigerator was stolen, and $4000 damage was done to a hardwood floor, along with $300 damage to a window.
