5 March 2008 — Linda Orringer, 50, of Herring Rd., Princeton, was in an accident on US 70A near Selma on Feb. 19 at 4:59 p.m. Her car was hit by a vehicle driven by Justin Turner, 15, of Pine Level when she slowed for traffic. Damage to her 2002 Mazda was estimated at $1,000.
Angel Romero, 37, of Laura Ave., Princeton, was involved in an accident with a vehicle driven by Valerie Harper of Wilson’s Mill Rd., Smithfield on Feb. 23 at 3:10 p.m.. Damage to his 2006 Kia was estimated at $4000. He was cited for failure to yield right-of-way.
Dulce Perez, 27, Rains Mill Rd., Princeton was involved in an accident with Bernice Durham of Smithfield on Feb. 18 at 4:09 p.m. at Brogden Logistics near Smithfield. Damage to the ’92 Honda he was driving, which is owned by Ignacio Jimenez, was estimated at $100.
Keith Woodard III, 20, Old Cornwallis Rd., Princeton, apparently ran off the side of Old Cornwallis Rd. on Feb. 16 at 7:50 a.m., struck a rock catch basin, and then struck a concrete wall and mailboxes at the house of Jesse Eason and Mary Whitley, turning over. The 1994 Chevy truck, owned by Keith Woodard Jr., damage was estimated at $6,000. He was taken to Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was cited for reckless driving.
Jamie Thompson, 32, of Selma, struck a deer on US 70 just east of Princeton on Feb. 21 at 3:11 p.m. Damage to the 2007 Kia was estimated at $1,000.
Kathy Kornegay, 54, of Brogden Rd, Princeton was involved in a deer accident on RPR 2530 on Feb. 12 at 6:20 a.m. Damage to the 2001 Volkswagen was estimated at $2,000.
Jolenay Johnson, 33, of Woodard Rd., Princeton was involved in a wreck with John Jacobs of Four Oaks on Feb. 17 at 9:35 a.m. on RPR 2523 south of Princeton. She was stopped at a stop sign, and pulled out in front of Mr. Jacobs’ vehicle, causing him to swerve and leave the roadway. There was no damage to her car, and $300 to Mr. Jacobs’ car.
