Lady Bulldogs take tough loss at Midway
12 March 2008 — The Lady Bulldogs had a long road home last Tuesday after a 7-0 loss at Midway.
The loss evened Princeton’s record at 2-2 on the young season.
April Keene pitched the first four innings and gave up only two runs, spreading out seven hits and not allowing a walk. She also recorded one strikeout.
Traci Bridgers came on in relief. Midway reached her for seven more hits and scored five runs. She did not allow a walk.
Midway’s pitcher struck out six and only allowed three hits on the afternoon. Hannah Wood got two of those, and Tylan George got the other.
Princeton’s scheduled game with Tarboro Monday was cancelled due to Katlyn Bell’s death.
