Eagles falter against Farmville

12 March 2008 — Rosewood struggled in their lone outing last week, falling to Farmville, 4-0 last Thursday.

The Eagles hope to get things in gear this week with five scheduled games over the next eight days.

Tuesday they were to host Midway. Thursday they continue the homestand with a game with Fike, and Farmville comes to the Rosewood diamond Friday.

Next Monday and Tuesday they travel to Fike and Hobbton respectively.

Thursday Taylor Allen had a good outing against Farmville, allowing just three hits over four innings. He struck out three and walked just one while giving up one earned run, but three more unearned runs scored as Rosewood ended the day with five errors.

Will Beasley came on in relief and struck out four in two innings while not giving up a hit or a walk.

The Rosewood offense was struggling at the plate, though. Farmville pitchers recorded 13 strikeouts and only allowed one hit, to Steven Bostic.
