highway patrol report

19 March 2008 — According to NC Highway Patrol reports, Jessica Lux, 20, Hickory Crossroads Rd., Princeton, was involved in a wreck on March 11 at 6:57 p.m. on Hickory Crossroads Rd. 2.3 miles SE of Kenly with a car driven by Gary Scott, 23, Hickory Crossroads Rd., Kenly. Ms. Lux’s 2001 Honda sustained $2,800 damage. Mr. Scott was charged with careless and reckless driving.

Jesse Porter, 65, of Smith St., Princeton, hit a deer on Baker’s Chapel Rd. 2 miles east of Princeton on March 15 at 12:02 a.m. Damage to his 2006 Chevrolet truck was estimated at $6,200.

Suzan Starling, 40, of Community Drive, Goldsboro, was in a wreck with Sindi Acevedo of Garner on Louise Pl. 8 miles S of Clayton on March 12 at 7:46 a.m. Damage to the 1998 Ford she was driving was estimated at $1500. Ms. Acevedo was charged with failing to look before backing.

Julie Cox, 42, Worley Rd., Princeton, was involved in a school bus wreck with Timothy Westbrook, 28, Brogden Rd., Smithfield, on Feb. 29 at 7:11 a.m. on Brogden Rd. 8 miles SE of Princeton. Damage to Ms. Cox’s bus was estimated at $4,000. Mr. Westbrook’s 2006 Chevy sustained $8,000 damage. Mr. Westbrook was charged with failure to reduce speed.

Charles Hockaday, 37, of Andrew Blvd., Selma, struck a deer on March 8 at 10.39 p.m. on US 70 1 mile NW of Princeton. Damage to his 2002 Kia was estimated at $3400.

Rodney Braswell, 42, of US 70 E, Princeton, was involved in an accident with Ervin Council of Selma on March 7 at 9:40 a.m. on Barber Mill Rd. near Clayton. Damage to the 1996 Ford Mr. Braswell was driving was estimated at $3,800. Mr. Braswell was cited for driving left of center.
