Eagles struggling to find hits

19 March 2008 — Rosewood is looking for some offense, as they suffered shut-out losses Thursday, Friday and Monday.

The Eagles are 1-5 on the young season when they have been taking on larger and stronger programs, but hope to get some things turned around in a week when they will face some more competitive opposition.

After falling to Midway last Tuesday, 5-2, they lost to Fike twice, 7-0 last Thursday and 5-0 Monday, and to Farmville Friday, 7-0.

Matt Neal was one Eagle who was able to connect some, getting three hits against Midway last Tuesday. Holt Rains added two hits, including a double and an rbi.
The next three games the Eagles were held to just three hits.

This week Rosewood was at Hobbton Tuesday and host Wayne Country Day on Thursday. They are off for the Easter Break until next week’s Deacon Jones Invitational at Princeton.

The Lady Eagles split a tough week, after falling at Fike Thursday, they rebounded with a solid win over Farmville Friday.

Haile Meadows shut out the Lady Jags on the Lady Eagles home diamond Friday.

She also took the loss at Fike.
