26 March 2008 — Quilters at Princeton Baptist Church.
Barden crossing to close
The railroad crossing at Barden Street in Princeton will be temporarily closed from April 7, 2008 through May 7, 2008 to observe and evaluate traffic patterns.
Water line repairs
Princeton’s water supply was turned off over night Monday as some drainage system improvements took an unexpected turn.
As work was being done to improve drainage on Second Street, workers were trying to lower a water line. As they tried to cut off the water to do the work, one of the valves they were closing failed to close.
With older water systems, towns try to maintain valves so similar repairs can be made, but sometimes valves fail.
In order to fix the line, the town had to turn off water across the town at 11 p.m. They had warned residents through automated calls that service might be out until 6 a.m., but service was restored before that time.
