JAMES ARTHUR ROSE
James "Jimmy" Arthur Rose, 87, of Princeton, died Wednesday, April 2 at his home.
He was born in Johnston County on January 24, 1921 and was the son of the late W. M. and Annie Blackmon Rose. He was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church, Princeton Methodist Men, Princeton Lions Club, and former member of the Grifton Rescue Squad.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 at Casey Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Coppock officiating. Committal service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Princeton Cemetery.
Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Rayonell Baily Rose; a daughter, Jennifer Albert of Calabash; two stepsons, Randy Hinton of Belvoir, VA and Malcolm Hinton of Princeton; two stepdaughters, Darlene Moore of Lugoff, SC and Tammy Woodard of Princeton; one grandson, twelve stepgrandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7 p.m. April 3, 2008 and immediately following the funeral service at Casey Funeral Home.

KATIE BELL ANDERSON
Katie Bell Howell Anderson, 87, died at Liberty Commons Nursing Home in Benson on Sunday, March 30.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Sudie G. and David Richard Howell, and was the wife of William "Bill" Anderson.
Graveside services were held at Wayne Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 1 at 12 p.m., with Pastor Percy Coleman officiating.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Larry Anderson and wife, Beverly, of Princeton; a granddaughter, Amanda Martin of Princeton; and a special niece, Sue Howell and husband, Johnny, of Goldsboro.

BEN SINQUEFIELD SR.
Foy "Ben" Benjamin Sinquefield Sr., 75, of Princeton, died Tuesday, April 1 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 3 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Dr. Alfred Wright will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Mr. Sinquefield was born in Eufaula, Ala., on July 5, 1932, to the late Walter Carl and Eva Miles Sinquefield. He was a former member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Sinquefield; one son, Foy "Ben" Benjamin Sinquefield Jr. of Princeton; two daughters, Dana Hope of Greenville, Tracie Wright and her husband, Jonathan, of Fayetteville; two brothers, Douglas Sinquefield of Sylva, N.C., George Sinquefield and his wife, Evelyn, of Shelbyville, Tenn.; three sisters, Margaret Cox and her husband, John, of Millbrook, Ala., Eva Carl Childree of Eufaula, Ala., Monnie DeVenny and her husband, Robert, of Gainsville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsey and Kyle Hope, Fisher and Luke Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews including Judy Gay and her husband, Tom, Allen and Gary Sinquefield.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sinquefield was preceded in death by one sister, Nellie Dixon.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.

LINDA W. SMITH
Linda West Smith, 58, of Goldsboro, died Friday, March 28 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born November 10, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Eva Jones and Arthur C. West Sr. and was married to Randy Smith.
A funeral was held on Monday, March 31 at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Pastor Bobby Heath officiating. Burial followed at Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Fields and husband, Ricky, of Pikeville; two brothers, Glenn West and wife, Donna, of Louisburg and A.C. West Jr. and wife, Carol, of Dudley; two sisters, Marie Barnett and husband, Wayne, of Rosewood, and Blanche Pope of Four Oaks; and three grandchildren, Christopher Stallings, currently stationed in Iraq, Tiffany Stallings of Pikeville and Sydney Fields of Pikeville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Heister.

SHANE WALL
Shane Wall, 50, of Rosewood, died Thursday evening, March 27, at home.
Shane was born in Wayne County on February 12, 1958. Prior to his illness, he was employed by the Wayne County School System.
A memorial service was held Sunday, March 30 at 5:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Goldsboro, with visitation afterward.
Shane is survived by his wife, Karen Wall, of the home; his son, Daniel Wall of Greenville; his parents, Kermit and Jane Wall of Kenly; two brothers, Johnny Wall of Goldsboro and Leslie Wall of Kenly; and two sisters, Sandra Hines of Goldsboro and Sheila Strickland of Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Moose Family Center of Goldsboro, National Foundation for Transplants or United Network for Organ Sharing.
